{Couture Women} Tasha Ramstad Photography Alberta

Wow, not sure if I have been on a hiatus or what!! But I know I have been busy with lots of different things...and I suppose it is summer too (which seems to fly by way too fast!) Anyhow, here we are & it is mid-July, and I have been wanting to get a new package up for just women.....the "Couture" package. I will be creating a page especially for it (so stay tuned & sign up for my newsletter for updates-on the right side of my blog page).
The women's Couture shoot is about drawing out your unique & true inner-self in a sophisticated & sensual way. This is for women of all shapes & sizes, as all women are beautiful in my eyes. :) Whether you are dressed over the top or in your jeans, this is Couture Art with you as the subject. Although boudoir photography has made itself well known, this is not boudoir photography.....
I love shooting women one on one....this is about you and only you. My goal is to pull out who you really are inside, so you can see it through your own eyes in photos. xoxo
Elisha hired me to "pull out" what she thought was missing....her inner beauty. I think it was a successful shoot!

....and one last one (of soooooo many awesome shots). Thanks Elisha...you were amazing!
Summer Time Photos {Tasha Ramstad Photography}
Summer is my absolute favorite time of the year, and I love love the beach! Thought I would spread out the summer love with a photo of one of my daughter's, Holly. I think she is absolutely beautiful, but then again...she is my girl so I am definitely biased! Welcome summer finally, in Central Alberta!! :o)

Wow, it's been a while since I have posted, but I have been super busy on a "pet project" that has turned into a 5 month project! In a few weeks, I will be able to share the details of my hard work :o)
However, I did manage to get outside today and my 5 year old, Missy Bree was pleased to have me take some shots of her. She made many suggestions as to poses and where she would like them. We only had about 20 minutes before I had to go and pick my two older girls from school...but you can accomplish a lot in 20 minutes!
I also wanted to make mention of the fact that I have used Annie's actions from Paint the Moon Photography (love her stuff). She has a fantastic contest going on right now, so go on over and check it out...she always has amazing products & great deals going on! Below are some of the photos I took today of my girl and of course, they were processed with Annie's actions.
A shot of the "Diva" part of her. Hmm....I wonder who she gets those traits from??

Details, details.....
Okay, and one last one....it's my favorite head shot of my angel :o)
Sneak Peek at Just Exhale's New Meditation CD Cover Art & Design by Tasha Ramstad Photography
I have been working on a project for Just Exhale for several months now. Actually, Leslie Saffran of Just Exhale, who is also a wonderful friend has brought me on board with her company for many reasons. From new meditation CD covers, to help with website design, photography for the new site & retreat planning...we are almost there! We hope to have the new (very awesome website) and everything else all wrapped up by the end of April, if not sooner! We will have some details about a Just Exhale Signature Retreat cruise for women coming real soon...so exciting!! Here is a sneak peek of 1 of 6 of the new CD covers for Just Exhale's "Awaken Your Inner Peace!" The goal for each cover was to give them all an ethereal, yet modern feel & I think we have been able to achieve it! What a fantastic & creative project for me to work on :o) Happy Easter Everyone!!

What a wonderful time I had with this newborn session. Babies are just so amazing, and everytime I think about how they come into existence...it is just so miraculous. I love what I do, and to capture these little beings is an amazing part of my journey.

Dramatic Black & White Challenge on I♥Faces
The challenge for this week is dramatic black and whites. I love, love black and white photos because for me they look vintage & well, you know I love vintage! This week I chose a self-portrait that I did about a month ago. I took this photo at the end of a 2 hour shoot for someone else. Still pretty cool out and lots of snow. My jeans were soaked and I thought for sure I was going to lose my feet because I was frozen ha ha. I had the dress in the car, threw it on, and snapped a few shots. Why waste a good sunset right?
Go over and check out some of the other (I am sure) amazing black and white photos :o)

Oh, I have not had a newborn session in a while. Probably best in some ways...cause then I would want to have another one!!! And that would make five...best I just take photos. Well, I had the pleasure of photographing this 3 week old Baby Mac. He was so so good for his first official photo shoot. He didn't even pee on me! Here you go mom, I promised only 2 sneak peeks, so here they are. More are to come!

I was cleaning out my cupboards the other day when I stumbled upon my bread basket. I said to myself, "Self, you do not even use this for its intended purpose. It is just collecting dust!" So baby prop it is, yay!
Fix It Friday #48 At I Heart Faces
I Love the composition and angle of this photo that Natalie took of her little girl Abigail! So sweet...anyhow, since it is Fix It Friday over at I♥Faces, I thought I would 'fix' this one up :o) In typical Tasha style, I created a soft, pastel & dreamy look and just kept it simple. I am also finicky about 'details,' so used the healing brush to remove the distracting pieces of snow, or whatever that may be on her hat...as well as the little bit of a bruise on her nose. Head over and see the other fixes by everyone else.
Focusing on Angles Photo Challenge at I ♥ Faces
This week's challenge at I ♥ Faces is all about angles. I chose this particular shot of my daughter Holly, while on vacation to the Maritimes. These old concrete steps led up from the main road to a cemetary at the top of the hill. I purposefully put a bit of a tilt on the photo, just to give it a touch of interest....
